New Horizon is an independent science communication platform founded to spread science in northern Cyprus, inspire young people and bring the island's space enthusiasts together under one roof.

Mission
Run by academics, teachers, researchers and volunteers, our initiative works to build a sustainable ecosystem that raises awareness of space and science in Cyprus.
Our goals

First Summer Astronomy Workshop
We held our first summer workshop with Eastern Mediterranean University.

Adım Adım Uzay
Cyprus's first monthly space magazine reached hundreds of readers.
2024
Young Ambassadors Programme
We launched a programme giving young people responsibility and leadership in science.
2025
Second cohort, 15 ambassadors
The programme ran for the second time with 15 ambassadors across five areas.
