Organized by New Horizon on 22 August 2026, the Space and Science Symposium brought together science and space enthusiasts at İskele Youth Center.
Held under the motto “Your perspective on the sky will change,” the event offered a full day of discovery for everyone interested in space, science and the universe.
Science and Space Enthusiasts Gathered in İskele
Throughout the symposium, distinguished speakers shared their knowledge and experience on different areas of science, space and the universe.
Alongside the presentations, participants took part in hands-on workshops and interactive discussions, giving them the opportunity to explore scientific topics in a more engaging and practical way.
The event aimed particularly to inspire young people, encourage curiosity and make science and technology more accessible to the wider community.
Eyes Turned to the Night Sky
One of the most exciting parts of the symposium was the nighttime telescope observation held in the evening.
Between 20:00 and 22:30, participants had the opportunity to observe the night sky and experience the universe they had discussed throughout the day with their own eyes. The telescope observations became one of the most memorable moments of the symposium.
Science begins with curiosity and grows when we explore it together.
At New Horizon, we believe that science grows not only through learning, but also through questioning, experiencing and sharing knowledge.
We would like to thank İskele Municipality and İskele Youth Center for their contribution to making the Space and Science Symposium possible, our valued speakers for sharing their knowledge and experience, and all participants who joined us in looking toward the sky.
Together, we looked at the sky, wondered about the universe and explored science. New Horizon will continue bringing science, technology and young people together through new events and initiatives.
